Actually, I was trying to find a gentlement bicycle, instead of a ladies bicycle, of which it was should to be given to Jocelyn Tomasowa, my father. But, on that day there were no good antique gentlement bicycle to be found. Anyway, I made a deal with my father, that for the time being this ladies bicycle is owned by him. But, if i am able to find a gentlement bicycle in the near future, then i will trade that gentlement bicycle with his. Therefore, I bought this ladies bicycle and it was my first experience carrying a bicycle by using airplane. I had to turn apart this bicycle and used polygon box as its package.<br /></div><br /><br /><br /><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0); font-weight: bold;">Details</span></span><br /><br /><span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 51);">Frame Serial Number</span><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpKYzNclVOEd2p8Fjzn9fXEBt3y274nkLCf4wPe-7Y-zCxZTRibw4fFdg0QxmhQT_cpF-eATvO4IEJDdDOtowJ4TFvmC3m6MCpAhOsceK7diIDAGe06e0kXTUV-aClU8w6IEzfsXU8L5s/s1600/Bicycle+Collection+142.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpKYzNclVOEd2p8Fjzn9fXEBt3y274nkLCf4wPe-7Y-zCxZTRibw4fFdg0QxmhQT_cpF-eATvO4IEJDdDOtowJ4TFvmC3m6MCpAhOsceK7diIDAGe06e0kXTUV-aClU8w6IEzfsXU8L5s/s320/Bicycle+Collection+142.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5604658384897620034" border="0" /></a>The two first numbers are 32, resembled the year of production, 1932.<br /><br /><span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 51);"><br />The typical loop, which is not Hercules nor Phillips</span><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWN-aAtpR3flNA3n5O3zPeHc8ye9yEEtbcXiSujAtHp1kWpM199a1GXincSqVbf-ZjCTiHNBo6Fi5T3_M5pT87XxFGeaV7Ey2vuDiTh6rRaq_N06EY9B5SDNjD94V8HeIMyQVXdQE3Hjc/s1600/Bicycle+Collection+140.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWN-aAtpR3flNA3n5O3zPeHc8ye9yEEtbcXiSujAtHp1kWpM199a1GXincSqVbf-ZjCTiHNBo6Fi5T3_M5pT87XxFGeaV7Ey2vuDiTh6rRaq_N06EY9B5SDNjD94V8HeIMyQVXdQE3Hjc/s320/Bicycle+Collection+140.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5604658700554723730" border="0" /></a><br /><span style="font-size:100%;"><span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 51);"><br />Paddles Union Made in Germany</span></span><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid7Qb00Sycw3hCxJAJEThjaEu731zxlOsGuimDzC8olGIPK2z11gu0dbz1xnjGpCjt1lNv-huJvyWP8wX2dimU3fyMsqklNnOGO7PmQYL5bj4wTkIFo4aImCxVUI1ZSpPObgVel78DFWw/s1600/Bicycle+Collection+148.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid7Qb00Sycw3hCxJAJEThjaEu731zxlOsGuimDzC8olGIPK2z11gu0dbz1xnjGpCjt1lNv-huJvyWP8wX2dimU3fyMsqklNnOGO7PmQYL5bj4wTkIFo4aImCxVUI1ZSpPObgVel78DFWw/s320/Bicycle+Collection+148.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5604659555602512642" border="0" /></a><br /><span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 51);"><br />The Break System</span><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikRBYLge3XhDWdi4hngSP7lJknU7u2MWpGI_GagnxtuKQp-gv_BL6skYFaDXlfJh4J5lKMSC-DschS_90boOTG40v1gQk6jfsrxat0GLC6sSCSpM4eycsjyoR_Ow-3dFcralNDTCwqKxI/s1600/Bicycle+Collection+143.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikRBYLge3XhDWdi4hngSP7lJknU7u2MWpGI_GagnxtuKQp-gv_BL6skYFaDXlfJh4J5lKMSC-DschS_90boOTG40v1gQk6jfsrxat0GLC6sSCSpM4eycsjyoR_Ow-3dFcralNDTCwqKxI/s320/Bicycle+Collection+143.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5604660035981647474" border="0" /></a><br /><span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 51);"><br />Phillips Wheel Core</span><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRPpqbuBZYLhF0dHMf1DrD5Jh5G7ehv-sx8DnV7pmob4s2Km3L3rgM5aPwzQ8k-Bt-XuRR8vXqJCb_7HfB5nyebcFxhMKb56xm3C-vjaCFmcgVE_-X3dSQvXyFVSl6AUoV5K3DHO9nNTI/s1600/Bicycle+Collection+145.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRPpqbuBZYLhF0dHMf1DrD5Jh5G7ehv-sx8DnV7pmob4s2Km3L3rgM5aPwzQ8k-Bt-XuRR8vXqJCb_7HfB5nyebcFxhMKb56xm3C-vjaCFmcgVE_-X3dSQvXyFVSl6AUoV5K3DHO9nNTI/s320/Bicycle+Collection+145.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5604660857245094578" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 102);">The Gear</span><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3GkSOT5gHelWhP_SyoCH2UjKJQofxqRtmeug7fTlddkF8fiurPiTAQQ4st_mO9Vk0bgLf97Z4v3d4elMBzessTv5CQlW0vcezhrQBRlk5eU-C5ng8KhbQgDPqHL7M6RjofqKy5VxsQjI/s1600/Bicycle+Collection+147.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3GkSOT5gHelWhP_SyoCH2UjKJQofxqRtmeug7fTlddkF8fiurPiTAQQ4st_mO9Vk0bgLf97Z4v3d4elMBzessTv5CQlW0vcezhrQBRlk5eU-C5ng8KhbQgDPqHL7M6RjofqKy5VxsQjI/s320/Bicycle+Collection+147.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5604890515009264802" border="0" /></a><br /></div>Judith M. He was wounded in the attack on Redan, and subsequently discharged. On making his way home via Paris, he saw his first bicycles. These would have been hobby horses with wooden wheels, which were very similar to the carriage wheels that Henry was familiar with. He realised that he could easily make this type of wheel himself and so he made contact with some of the French manufacturers who were interested in his skills. When he returned to Wolverhampton he set up the 'Temple Street Wheel Company' to make all kinds of wooden wheels for export to France, including some for velocipedes.<p>At around the same time he married Harriet Powney from Wombourne and they had four daughters and five sons.</p></td></tr></tbody></table></div><div align="center"><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="5" width="100%"><tbody><tr><td>Being a skilled blacksmith he soon picked up the necessary skills to build complete bicycles and decided to manufacture them himself.<p>In 1868 he founded the 'Cogent Cycle Company' in Darlington Street, and was joined by his five sons; Tom, George, William, Jack, and Henry. The first Cogent machines appeared in 1869 and sold extremely well.</p><p>By 1877 'Cogent Penny Farthings' were selling at prices from £8 to £10 and the company was very successfully producing many different models. In days of bone shakers Henry Clarke was well known as a maker, and he cannot fail to have gained great experience as to how a bicycle ought to be built. An improved form of rounded cone bearing is adopted, which appears to be superior to the ordinary; the working parts being of case hardened steel, friction is therefore greatly reduced; the hub is double (something like Deacon's), and put on in halves, in which the spokes are firmly secured. It is forming like a spoon, before the frame attached to the rear wheel. A-spoon rear frame has caught my attention. So, i bought this bicycle without knowing which brand it has. The vendor, an old wise guy, informed me that the spoon shape is the typical of Juncker.<br /><br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 0, 0);font-size:130%;">The Background Story</span><br /></div><br />As my aunty, Ronalda Tomasowa, me and my husband wished to transport our other bicycles (TOP, Fongers, and Humber sportive) from the warehouse to my aunty's house, then we saw an old dames bicycle. We came to the shop and check for its serial number on the right side frame under the saddle. But, it wasn't there. Then the vendor lifted up the bicycle, and showed us the frame number under the bottom bracket shell.<br /><br />The vendor told that no one has interest to buy it, since it is so big, and old. Once again, we taught that we should rescue this bicycle, since it is old. Although we don't know which brand it has. So, my aunty suggested me to buy this bicycle. She is sure that this bicycle was antique enough, even older than her age.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_fP7f0Tev8Zdtz5nbIFtZHfVADsTZjkQq9ONLdb_gbez7yfhnlxURzd7M0ZiKdXmJsMq-RGn1iG06UpR1fO2wRL7UgWIxS368kS4L7yFguOjTwP2XppfVt5SVA-_Wm4ejhtUFChkATvU/s1600/Bicycle+Collection+163b.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_fP7f0Tev8Zdtz5nbIFtZHfVADsTZjkQq9ONLdb_gbez7yfhnlxURzd7M0ZiKdXmJsMq-RGn1iG06UpR1fO2wRL7UgWIxS368kS4L7yFguOjTwP2XppfVt5SVA-_Wm4ejhtUFChkATvU/s320/Bicycle+Collection+163b.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5604899375870902802" border="0" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);font-size:130%;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">History of Juncker</span></span><br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Juncker was one of dutch bicycle factories, which was established in 1898 in Ruwielen, Appeldoorn. He already bought Wearwell, a British made. So, he promised me, if i visit him to the city, where he was relocated for work, then he will buy an old ladies bicycle in that city.<br /><br />So, during the school holiday, i went to that city. This was our second old bicycle hunting. And at the second day, he took me to several places. At the last place, it was raining, and he picked for me the cheapest old bicycle there. Hem, i was sad at that time. I wish for the branded bicycle, in good condition. Due to the rain, i had no other choice, but to agree with him. He took me and that bicycle to the mechanic to repair the break and check the wheel.<br /><br />At the mechanic, a young man came and asked how much is this bicycle. I answered him, that this is a cheap price. For me, it doesn't matter, weather it is branded or not. As long it is good for ride, that's o.k. for me. He stood on my bicycle for a while. I was confused, what things that he admired from my ugly old bicycle.<br /><br />The next morning my husband awoke me, just to show that he found the Gazelle words marked on the frame. It is barely seen by bare eyes. I had to use small lamp to discover the marked Gazelle words. Since then, i searched on internet about any details of my old rusty gazelle. I am happy that I found you, my old rusty Gazelle.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);font-size:180%;" ><span style="font-weight: bold;"><br />Details</span></span><br /></div></div><div style="text-align: left;"><div style="text-align: center; color: rgb(255, 255, 0);"><div style="text-align: left;"><br />Written Words of Gazelle<br /><br /></div></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhrxr6D500_NMzkVYjfqtM2CwzH-dUSycGWdO4TXslET8UoRb8vRqBUseO8KEFRhsqEb6BOkWNObY09WmhIT-5dOUbYLtAYtkmoDku81BzSIl_hPKr-BV6_VUdtiGSPpF0gj0kANn5cag/s1600/Gaz1.jpg"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 179px; height: 239px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhrxr6D500_NMzkVYjfqtM2CwzH-dUSycGWdO4TXslET8UoRb8vRqBUseO8KEFRhsqEb6BOkWNObY09WmhIT-5dOUbYLtAYtkmoDku81BzSIl_hPKr-BV6_VUdtiGSPpF0gj0kANn5cag/s200/Gaz1.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5603129923684921890" border="0" /></a>At the frame under the steer, it is written Gazelle as its brand. The clear written words, which are smooth and so original. The brand that was crafted on the frame, just like at the picture, are difficult to be a faked one. The brand was crafted on the frame during its production at the factory in Netherlands. Based on the type of crafted brand at the frame, it will determined how old is a Gazelle bicycle.<br /><br /><span style="font-style: italic;">Reference : https://picasaweb.google.com/asterducG</span><span style="font-style: italic;">azelleTypisch#</span> <span style="font-style: italic;">5548056944762101714</span><br /><br />The early production of Gazelle, they didn't attach any emblem on it. Under the shadow of darkness in the warehouse, i couldn't see clearly in details. As we were transporting the two other bicycles into the warehouse, the vendor saw that my eyes were looking at this roosted bicycle. He offered me this bicycle, and I was shock in deed for unbelievable price, a very cheap price. He said it is better to sell it to me, so the "soul" of this bicycle will able to remind exist.<br /><br /><br /><br />Without a second taught, i agreed with his offer. By husband, once, argued with me, what's for buying another one. But, i just followed my intuition. The words of the skinny guy, who gave me Ladies Hercules King Special Edition, has ring a bell in my head. My sincere intuition was, this bicycle is very old, roosted, and i am concerned about its well-being in the future. I just think, i should rescue it from cannibalism. Some vendors may come and buy it, just for cannibalism, sell it in partition.<br /><br />I called Olivia Paliama, my friend in my hometown, and asked her mother, if she is still interested in having an antique bicycle, as she told me the other day. She said yes, and is willing to transport this bicycle to her house in Jakarta immediately.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAin9TgMWm68SsN_9P05mTEkckZOo08riPKzd7ajzNl8e72CWMeTbhyphenhyphenrjUqX89W5RZeOvfxnN-Xk1ADXPCBbKl_A7ID6v1A3ud1eBX9belUCYqfS7g-0xk2tjR6xqx_hJg5iVpNP0IvIU/s1600/seri+fonger.jpg"><br /></a><br />The next day we took all bicycles and transported it to my aunty's house. When i placed this old roosted bicycle against a white wall, just like in the taken picture, it so beautiful. I looked for any data about this bike by the help of my aunty, Ronalda Tomasowa. I found detail information on a dutch websitei on <span style="font-style: italic;">http://www.fongers.net/modelnummering.htm</span>, that this bicycle was produced in 1922.<br /><br />At the following day, i transported this bicycle to Jakarta, and called Olivia's mother to send her the picture and the detail information about it. She was very surprised and happy to know it. She told me that, when she was young, she stayed in the sugar factory owned by the Dutch in 1935s. Her grand father, a french citizen, who was as the factory head near Cirebon, gave her a dames bicycle, which is exactly like the one i found for her.<br /><br />I asked Olivia also to promise, never sell it to other people. When she is bored with this bicycle, then she should return it back to me. But, i am so pleased, that she loves this bicycle also, and will not sell it to anyone.<br /><br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0); font-weight: bold;">Details</span></span><br /></div> <div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 51);"><br />The Frame Serial Number<br /><br /></span></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAin9TgMWm68SsN_9P05mTEkckZOo08riPKzd7ajzNl8e72CWMeTbhyphenhyphenrjUqX89W5RZeOvfxnN-Xk1ADXPCBbKl_A7ID6v1A3ud1eBX9belUCYqfS7g-0xk2tjR6xqx_hJg5iVpNP0IvIU/s1600/seri+fonger.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAin9TgMWm68SsN_9P05mTEkckZOo08riPKzd7ajzNl8e72CWMeTbhyphenhyphenrjUqX89W5RZeOvfxnN-Xk1ADXPCBbKl_A7ID6v1A3ud1eBX9belUCYqfS7g-0xk2tjR6xqx_hJg5iVpNP0IvIU/s320/seri+fonger.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5603483341778098642" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 51);">A Gazelle Saddle</span><br /><br /></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5Qg9ipAqd-DwPRa-1wO3AytT4-s24utY7_ClLju6LuGAVdTI_S00YMnk9aFoZqjCep9Axp1SlN9WqwYF2R8deKpQ9McfQZYiSqkSd6CCVCkPfgXj3lEmx2gtlY4zV_koxNTZABcG1_aI/s1600/Bicycle+Collection+093.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5Qg9ipAqd-DwPRa-1wO3AytT4-s24utY7_ClLju6LuGAVdTI_S00YMnk9aFoZqjCep9Axp1SlN9WqwYF2R8deKpQ9McfQZYiSqkSd6CCVCkPfgXj3lEmx2gtlY4zV_koxNTZABcG1_aI/s320/Bicycle+Collection+093.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5604882241583570802" border="0" /></a></div></div>Judith M. I have visited places that were known for bicycle. But, theirs were not so antique. Theirs were just ordinary bicycle, that have been painted and remodified to be seen as oldies.<br /><br />When the sun is near to its sunset, i took my break at the small corner of the street, under a tree with my husband. A skinny old guy came and said hello to us. He said he has been watching us for a while, and asked us, where we were going. I answered him, that i am looking for an antique bicycle. But, my difficulties were some that i found were not antique enough, and the price is so expensive. It hurts my feeling to find out, that beautiful bicycles have been merchandised, so that only the rich are able to effort it.<br /><br />He talked with us for a while about antique bicycles. He knows a lot about it. And beyond my expectation, this skinny old guy asked me to wait for a while under that tree. A couple minutes, he showed up with a bicycle, that from a distance, i knew that i have fallen in love. But, i lost my interest on it by remembering that antique bicycle are very expensive. So, i was just ignored him as he showed up with that bicycle.<br /><br />He came and directly said that, i should not be worried about the price, he is willing to give it to me under the normal price. He just wants me to take care this bicycle, just like he does. He asked me to promise, that i would never sell it to anyone.<br /><br /><span style="font-size:100%;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">His motto is:</span></span><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">"Antique bicycles are a heritage of a nation.
